The Attitude of Learning and Examinations

The attitude of study and the scores of examination have a delicate relationship with each other. If we want to achieve good results in the examination, we must have the right attitude of study.
No one is born with the right attitude, which is gradually formed in the daily life. First of all, you must have the intense desire of study; you must be interested in it, and then, make constant efforts. The positive and initiative attitude is that you have a definite cognition about learning requirements, have continual improvements in study, understand the important meaning of learning, and persist in accomplishing the assignments of study in time. When we meet frustrations in our daily study, please do not escape of them or just complain that the teachers are poor in their teaching level, try to find the reason from yourself, and then turn to your teacher for help, you together may find the right way to resolve the difficulties. Just have a steady and optimistic psychology to face the frustrations. The optimistic and initiative attitude of study is of great significance to every student. One who has the right attitude of study will benefit from it for his whole life. The attitude decides everything, if we want to have a high marks in the examination, the most important thing is that none of your subjects is too bad, even if none of your subjects are good enough, you can also gain high marks in the examination all the same! This is the bucket principle. To achieve a high average score in the examination, we must trade every subject coequally, exert the learning initiative abundantly. In the university, learning is nearly all by yourselves, so you should cultivate the independent attitude of study, you are supposed to arrange the learning schedule rationally, decide which subject will be learned in a specific period of time. The independent attitude of study can improve our ability of study and we will dominate the time more efficiency. The other day of the examination, mental pressure of all students is heavy; whether we can achieve success in the examination have a close relationship with the right attitude. The right attitude is relaxing your nerves psychology; treat the examination as an ordinary test.
But it does not mean as long as we have the right attitude of study, we will acquire good achievements. The good scores of examination alsohave relationship with many other things, for instance, the good methods of study, the high efficiency of time. So the right attitude of study is not a sufficient conditional for gain high marks in the examination, it is just necessary. But the good scores of examination is a prerequisite to the right attitude of study. To study well, firstly, make good friends with your classmates to create a benign atmosphere for study. Secondly, improve the efficiency of time; study as much knowledge as you can in limited time. Last but not least, pay attention to the connection between work and play, combine exertion with rest, struck a proper balance between work and leisure, “for study all time and no play, make jack a dull boy!” If a proper balance is struck between work and rest, the quality of study will go up, not down.
As I have said the right attitude of study is not a sufficient conditional for gain high marks in the examination, it is just necessary. But the good scores of examination is a prerequisite to the right attitude. So try to deal with the relationship of all aspects well, do all the above things well, have the optimistic and initiative attitude of study .I think it will be an easy thing to achieve good scores in the examination!

amazing

Isn't it amazing how one person, sharing one idea, at the right time and place can change the course of your life s history? This is certainly what happened in my life. When I was 14, I was hitchhiking from Houston, Texas, through El Paso on my way to California. I was following my dream, journeying with the sun. I was a high school dropout with learning disabilities and was set on surfing the biggest waves in the world, first in California and then in Hawaii, where I would later live.

Upon reaching downtown El Paso, I met an old man, a bum, on the street corner. He saw me walking, stopped me and questioned me as I passed by. He asked me if I was running away from home, I suppose because I looked so young. I told him, "Not exactly, sir," since my father had given me a ride to the freeway in Houston and given me his blessings while saying, "It is important to follow your dream and what is in your heart. Son. "

The bum then asked me if he could buy me a cup of coffee. I told him, "No, sir, but a soda would be great." We walked to a corner malt4 shop and sat down on a couple of swiveling stools while we enjoyed our drinks.

After conversing for a few minutes, the friendly bum told me to follow him. He told me that he had something grand to show me and share with me. We walked a couple of blocks until we came upon the downtown El Paso Public Library.

We walked up its front steps and stopped at a small information stand. Here the bum spoke to a smiling old lady, and asked her if she would be kind enough to watch my things for a moment while he and I entered the library. I left my belongings with this grandmotherly figure and entered into this magnificent hall of learning.

The bum first led me to a table and asked me to sit down and wait for a moment while he looked for something special amongst the shelves. A few moments later, he returned with a couple of old books under his arms and set them on the table. He then sat down beside me and spoke. He started with a few statements that were very special and that changed my life. He said, "There are two things that I want to teach you, young man, and they are these:

"Number one is to never judge a book by its cover, for a cover can fool you. "He followed with, "I'll bet you think I m a bum, don't you, young man?"

I said, "Well, uh, yes, I guess so, sir. "

"Well, young man, I've got a little surprise for you. I am one of the wealthiest men in the world. I have probably everything any man could ever want. I originally come from the Northeast and have all the things that money can buy. But a year ago, my wife passed away, bless her soul, and since then I have been deeply reflecting upon life. I realized there were certain things I had not yet experienced in life, one of which was what it would be like to live like a bum on the streets. I made a commitment11 to myself to do exactly that for one year. For the past year.1 have been going from city to city doing just that. So, you see, don't ever judge a book by its cover, for a cover can fool you.

"Number two is to learn how to read, my boy. For there is only one thing that people can t take away from you, and that is your wisdom. " At that moment, he reached forward, grabbed my right hand in his and put them upon the books he'd pulled from the shelves. They were the writings of Plato13 and Aristotle-immortal classics from ancient times.

The bum then led me back past the smiling old woman near the entrance, down the steps and back on the streets near where we first met. His parting request was for me to never forget what he taught me.

Walk Light and Harmony

With light above, we can walk steady and brave. With care and love, a kid can develop a happy childhood. But for rear children, their childhood is like walk with little light as their parents have to leave them behind for the city to work. When a normal happy childhood sounds like but a fairy tale for them, can we expect great harmony in our society, our big family and our next generations?
As many of you may have seen on CCTV during last spring festival, the story of an emotional journey of a migrant family really touched me to the bottom of my heart. On the stage, a migrant couple were presented to the audience by the famous host-Cui Yongyuan together with the chairwoman of National Women’s Association. The Couple couldn’t have gone back home for the New Year to be with their son because of their duties at a restaurant in Beijing. When the host read an article by their son that he missed his mother dearly, the mother bursted into tears.
As the host finished his reading, the son appeared on the stage dramatically. But more dramatic was what their son said: he understood his parents had to leave him behind for city to give him a better future, however, when he grew up, he would rather stay with his own children in the country side than go to a city to work without his children.
These words expose us a common problem of rear children. Acutely these young hearts lack parental tender loving care. Here is the frightening statistics: more than 20million rural children in our countryside are living without their parents by their side. Worse still, these children tend to develop personal disorders, with 3 types commonly seen. First the silent and premature type, shaped by tough experience or hardship from an early age. Second, the dominating and violent type brought up and spoiled by grandparents with little self-discipline. Third, the wild type, neglected with no due care from any relatives.
Fortunately our government has taken initiatives to address this problem as so many migrant workers have made such a big sacrifice for our four modernizations. the chairwoman of National Women’s Association remarked: schools have been set up for migrant workers near their community in the city so that children can come to live with their parents in the city. Volunteers have been recruited to help rear children with their daily life and psychological problems.
But do you think these simple measures are enough to bring happiness to rural children in a new century and bring harmony to our society? Unfortunately, still only a fraction of the 20 million rear children can enjoy this new found happiness. There is so much to be done for these 20 million rear children.
The darkness and loneliness of a journey can be ignored with flowers and songs along the road. So can be our help and support to the walk of a rear child. Let’s join with their parents to create light for their walking, to bring back their innocence and happiness, and to contribute to the harmony of our society, our big family and our next generations

CEO of INTEL

At least life at the top hasn't been dull for Barrett, the 25-year Intel veteran who stepped into the CEO slot at the beginning of 1998. Since then, the company has been blindsided by the sudden rise of the market for sub-$1,000 PCs, had its dirty laundry aired at the Microsoft antitrust trial, and settled a patent-infringement complaint by the U.S. Justice Department even as the feds continue to probe other Intel business practices. Worst of all, two Intel employees were murdered under horrifying circumstances in Uganda in early March. Throughout this trying time, Barrett has maintained his focus on Intel's manufacturing operations. For good reason: As microchips find their way into ever more non-PC devices, they will have to become even smaller and more versatile. "You need a guy like Barrett to manage that transition," says Cowen & Co. analyst Drew Peck.

Business Philosophy: Look ahead rather than back. Set high expectations, and meet deadlines.
Headache: Competitors such as Advanced Micro Devices, which was much quicker than Intel to spot the growth potential of sub-$1,000 PCs.
True story: In 1986, when Japan ruled the semiconductor market, Barrett learned everything he could about Japanese manufacturing practices. He applied what he learned at Intel's chip-fabrication plants. Today, the Japanese emulate Intel.
Management Style: A plant-floor guy. Before he was named CEO, he personally inspected each of Intel's dozens of fabrication plants around the world. Former CEO Andy Grove joked that Barrett had collected enough frequent-flier miles to buy his own airline.
